The Doctor Is In
Wednesday, May 28, at 9:00 a.m.
Patrick Henry Mall, food court

That's A Fact: Stroke is the third most common cause of death in the United States. Dr. Leesch will talk on:

"Stroke: New Treatments and New Hope"

Riverside Medical Group's free lecture series is serving up valuable health information in the food court at the Patrick Henry Mall, on the last Wednesday of each month. And the May 28th The Doctor Is In is no exception. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about advancements in stroke treatment and the importance of quick action from board-certified neurologist and neurointerventional specialist Wolfgang Leesch, MD. Dr. Leesch will discuss topics that include:
  • Why responding quickly is more important than ever
  • Stroke awareness -- an explanation of FAST (Face, Arms, Speech, Time)
  • New techniques and medications to stop a stroke in progress
  • Neurointervention: procedures inside the blood vessels
  • Risk factors that can be controlled - and those that can't
  • The benefits of a designated stroke center
The Doctor Is In meets at 9:00 a.m. in the Food Court (near the fireplace) of Patrick Henry Mall on the last Wednesday of each month.

The discussion is free, the coffee is free and it's a great opportunity to bring a friend, family member or neighbor and learn more about stroke and how you can make a difference by acting FAST. Don't miss this thought-provoking series.
